Oh and about your questions..i feel so special! lol.
I've actually never taken any jewelry classes...I guess you can blame summer camp when I was little for getting me started with jewelry making. From there, it's just evolved very s l o w l y! But look into classes at FIT...I know they have intro to jewelry design classes b/c they have a Jewelry Design major here.
As far as the journals go- I don't really like to use glue....instead I find double sided sticky paper works the best.
